The Friends of Fort Griswold will hold their third annual Open House and Bonfire at the Monument House Museum, Park Avenue in Groton, on Saturday December 8 from 11-2:30 pm. Join us around a roaring fire to sip hot beverages, enjoy tasty sweets, and toast marshmallows. Do some shopping for great books, patches, and other Fort Griswold memorabilia.
The Museum, the Monument, and the Ebenezer Avery House will all be open. David Rose will lead talks about the Fort at 11:30 and 1:30. Members of the Groton Congregational Church choir will lead a carol sing, and there will be old fashioned games for kids. Saxophone Santa will also be stopping by!
In the event of rain, the festivities will be held inside of the Monument House Museum.
